Ingredients
Scale
- 2–3 shots hot espresso (or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee)
- 1–2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups ice, divided
- 1/2 cup oat milk (or milk of choice)
Instructions
- Brew espresso or strong coffee and keep it hot.
- Add 1 cup of ice to a mason jar or cocktail shaker. Pour hot espresso over the ice.
- Add brown sugar and cinnamon. Seal the jar and shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until foamy.
- Fill a tall glass with the second cup of fresh ice.
- Strain the shaken espresso over the fresh ice.
- Top with oat milk. Stir gently and serve with a straw.
Notes
- Use freshly brewed hot espresso or coffee to help melt the sugar and create froth.
- Shake hard—this step adds that signature foam and blends the flavors.
- Customize sweetness and strength to taste by adjusting the sugar or milk ratio.
- For a hot version, stir sugar and cinnamon into hot espresso and top with steamed oat milk.
- Prep the espresso base ahead for quick mornings—just shake and add fresh milk when ready.
