Method
Preparation of Churro Dough
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1/3 cup of butter, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Bring this mixture to a boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and slowly whisk in 1 cup of flour. Stir until the dough comes together smoothly.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool for about 4-5 minutes before the next step.
Mixing Ingredients
- Once the dough has cooled slightly, add 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence. Use an electric hand mixer to whip until smooth and creamy.
Piping the Churro Bites
- Transfer the dough into a piping bag and preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray.
- Pipe bite-sized churros into the basket, ensuring not to overcrowd them.
Cooking
- Lightly brush melted butter on top of the churros and air fry for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Coating
- Mix together 1 cup of white sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder in a shallow bowl.
- Once churros are out of the fryer, toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat evenly.
Serving
- Serve churro bites warm with dips like chocolate syrup, Nutella, or honey.

Notes
For any leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for about 2-3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a crispy texture. For a flavor twist, consider adding lemon zest or almond extract in the dough.
