Ingredients

Base
  • 2 slices slices of bread (whole wheat, white, or oat—your call) Use soft, fresh bread.
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (or your favorite nut/seed butter) For those with nut allergies, consider alternatives like sun butter.
Topping
  • 2 tablespoons jelly or jam (strawberry, grape, or your choice) Be generous with the jelly.

Method

Preparation
  1. Gather your bread, peanut butter, and jam. If needed, microwave the bread for a few seconds to soften.
  2. Spread peanut butter edge to edge on one slice of bread and jelly on the other slice.
  3. Seal the sandwich by placing the jam-covered slice on top of the peanut butter slice, jelly side down. Press down around the edges with a cup or cookie cutter.
  4. Optionally slice off the crusts and wrap tightly if freezing or place in a lunch bag if consuming soon.
